Gtasks pro not syncing mac1/27/2024 ![]() You can create notes, voice memos, and lists to share with anyone else. Google Keep is another task-creating extension through Google Drive. It’s also connected to your Gmail and calendar, so any tasks you add on the application will also be applied there. ![]() There is also the option to get the mobile app when you won’t always be near your computer. If you connect with your Gmail, you are also able to add emails to your tasks if there is important information to be remembered. When you complete a task, you can simply check it off and it disappears. The tasks can be as simple or detailed as you see fit, and can be edited when changes arise. You are able to write out tasks and add them to your Google calendar. Google Tasks is an integration you can set up with your Google account to create to-do lists. Knowing exactly what you’re going to do at specific parts of your day can make your life less stressful. In the end, it shouldn't be this difficult or aggravating to get something so simple to work with the stock app or google app.To take advantage of your day, creating to-do lists is a beneficial part of your routine. So anyway, I just wanted to add my input in case someone can find it useful because like the OP, I also spent way too much time researching and trying different things to get this to work with the stock calendar and google calendar - all to no avail. I'm sticking with it as it's exactly what I need, and the widget is functional so I can scroll/view all my calendar/task items, and also check-off tasks straight from the widget. The GTasks widget can also display Calendar entries and Tasks all in one list. I couldn't find any way to get it to work with the stock calendar app on my phone or the google calendar itself, so I ended up just using GTasks to view/manage my calendar as well as my tasks. I decided to search on the subject which brought me to this thread. I realize I'm late to the game here, but I picked up GTasks not too long ago and was having the same issue. So the best you could possibly hope for from ANY calendar app that syncs with googlle tasks is to display a list of tasks for the particular date without any sorting by time at all… far inferior imo to what you'll get from the gtasks widget that sorts by time imo. Any time that you assign to a task within gtasks lives within gtasks only (since it does not fit within the google tasks data structure). Since there tend to be more tasks than appointments, if I cluttered up my calendar with them I'd probably forget a few appointments.īy the way, Google tasks only holds a due date. Things I need to fit into my schedule go in the tasks. Things that have to happen at an exact time go on the calendar. If you want to find things scheduled later than that you can just scroll down to the date/time that you're interested in.įor my personal style that works much better. Assuming you are caught up to date on your tasks, the things due today are on top of the list (actually the tasks with a time assigned for today are first ordered by time, the tasks with only a date assigned for today come after that). The next best thing IMO (I realize there are different approaches/preferences) - You can create a gtasks scrollable widget on your homescreen. ….Everyone agrees (myself included) that there is no capability to display google tasks within android google calendar app There must be some software version difference or setup difference somehwere.īut those differences don't really matter… I gather there may be a setting to move it directly onto the calendar somewhere (that's ok I personally like it where it is)Ģ - When I open google calendar on android and navigate to hamburger / account name… I have a similar listing of items to display like events etc, but no option for google tasks is shown like Earlymon's screenshot. Mine show on the side in an area labeled tasks. Two unimportant differences from what was mentioned before:ġ - On pc, my tasks show up a little different than yours apparently. I use gtasks and google calendar app and I can confirm tasks do not show up on the calendar app.
